Terms of Service
Article 1 Purpose
The purpose of these Terms is to clearly define the legal relationship between the Company and users when using the “Sliceup” website and mobile application, and to stipulate their respective rights and obligations.
Article 2 Definitions
The terms used in these Terms are defined as follows:
“Service” means all content, functions, and related services provided by the Company through the Sliceup website and mobile app.
“User” means any member or non-member who uses the Service in accordance with these Terms.
“Member” means a person who has entered into a service agreement with the Company and has been issued an account.
“Content” means all materials such as text, images, and data provided by the Company or input by users within the Service.
“Paid Service” means paid features or products provided through external payment systems such as Stripe.
Article 3 Effect and Amendment of the Terms
These Terms become effective when posted on the Service screen or otherwise notified to users.
The Company may amend these Terms to the extent that it does not violate applicable laws, and will notify users of any amendments at least seven (7) days prior to their effective date.
If a user does not agree to the revised Terms, the user may terminate the service agreement.
Article 4 Formation of Service Agreement
The service agreement is established when a user agrees to these Terms and completes the registration process.
The Company may reject or later restrict use in the following cases:
Use of another person’s name or stolen information
Provision of false information
Application for fraudulent or unlawful purposes
Article 5 Provision and Modification of Services
The Company provides users with the following services:
User input data analysis and visualization
Member management and data storage
Payment and subscription functions (via Stripe)
Other services developed or provided by the Company
The Company may modify or discontinue all or part of the Service for operational or technical reasons.
The Company will, in principle, give prior notice of such changes but may notify afterwards if unavoidable.
Article 6 Payment and Refunds
Payments for paid services are processed through the Stripe payment system, and related policies follow Stripe’s Terms of Service.
Refunds and cancellations are handled according to the Company’s refund policy and applicable laws.
Minors may not purchase paid services without the consent of a legal guardian.
Article 7 User Obligations
Users shall not engage in the following acts:
Using or stealing another person’s personal information, or providing false information
Posting or distributing illegal content within the Service
Infringing the Company’s or third parties’ intellectual property rights
Disrupting service operation (e.g., spam, hacking, data crawling, etc.)
Engaging in any other act contrary to law or public order and morals
Article 8 Company Obligations
The Company will protect users’ personal information in accordance with applicable laws and these Terms, and strive to provide stable service.
The Company will handle user opinions or complaints faithfully and promptly.
The Company complies with relevant laws, including the Personal Information Protection Act and the Electronic Commerce Act.
Article 9 Management of Posted Content
The rights to content posted by users within the Service belong to the users.
The Company may use such posts for non-commercial purposes such as service operation, promotion, or improvement.
If user content falls under any of the following categories, the Company may delete or restrict it after prior notice:
Violation of laws or posting of illegal content
Infringement of others’ rights or defamation
Content containing obscenity, violence, or other material contrary to public order
Article 10 Termination and Restrictions on Use
Users may request account deletion at any time, and the Company will process the request without delay.
The Company may restrict service use or terminate the agreement if the user violates these Terms or applicable laws.
Article 11 Limitation of Liability
The Company is not responsible for failure to provide the Service due to force majeure, technical issues, or user negligence.
The Company bears no liability for free services to the extent permitted by law.
The Company is not liable for damages caused by user negligence, including the leakage of account information.
Article 12 Compensation for Damages
Users are liable for any damages caused to the Company due to violation of these Terms.
The Company will compensate for damages only in cases of intentional or gross negligence in accordance with applicable law.
Article 13 Personal Information Protection
The Company establishes and operates a separate Privacy Policy to protect users’ personal information. Details regarding personal data protection follow the provisions of the Privacy Policy.
Article 14 Integration with External Services
The Company provides certain functions using external AI services such as OpenAI (ChatGPT API). Users understand and agree that the policies of the corresponding external service providers also apply when using such functions.
Article 15 Governing Law and Jurisdiction
These Terms shall be governed by the laws of the Republic of Korea.
In the event of any dispute arising from or relating to the Service, the Seoul Central District Court shall have exclusive jurisdiction.
Article 16 Supplementary Provisions
These Terms shall take effect on October 23, 2025.
The Company may amend these Terms as necessary and will notify users through the Service’s notice board.
